Toronto-Lisbon flight with “sweet” opening
The first passengers of the inaugural flight Lisbon-Toronto by Air Canada Rouge, on last Sunday, June 22nd, at 10 a.m., was surprised with the creation live by confectioners, and tiled in sugar. The initiative is the ANA – AIRPORTS OF PORTUGAL and aims to mark this new route.
Inspired by the theme “Giving Life to Airports” ANA said in a statement that “the route of sugar”, is one of the most historic and ancestral joining Portugal ties to Canada.
This initiative aims to highlight the importance of two characteristic products of each country: the art of Portuguese tiles and relevance of Canadian sugar.
The new Toronto-Lisbon route operated by Air Canada Rouge, will have three weekly flights during the summer season, which runs until September 22.
Air Canada Rouge is the new airline owned by Air Canada Group, operating since 1 July last year predominantly in Europe, Caribbean, Mexico and United States.
